Red Cross disaster specialist Ted may have seen one too many catastrophes - he vomits during every investigation and has become preoccupied with dying. On the other hand, his partner Sam enjoys every moment to the fullest "like people in beer commercials." When the play begins, Ted (Ferrel Barron) and Sam (Rod Porter) have returned to an airport hotel after investigating the collapse of a shopping mall roof which killed 83 shoppers. That night, Ted has an unexpected blind date with a disaster groupie who cures him of his fears by showing him that death does not have to happen at random. This audio performance, directed and adapted by Daniel T. Green, is an adaptation of the original stage play Thanatos which was produced in 1994 at the Unicorn Theatre in Kansas City.
